6 Important Tips On How To Stay Fit In Winter
Winter is here! We all love and hate winter for different reasons. Winter is holidays, winter is fun but on the other side winter is not good enough for health. So here are some tips for you to take care of yourself in this holiday season so that you could come out of it with a bang.
1. Exercise (Outside of Gym):
If you exercise in a gym then don't worry I guess you are less likely to get sick in the winter then. But, if you can't hit the gym on daily basis then do as per below.
You should do movements at indoors so that you could generate heat inside your body.
Try to do atleast these exercises in the indoors:
- Go for a run
- Push ups
- Sit ups
- Plank
- Jumping
2. What you should be eating?
Eat oil. Yeah. Increase the intake of oil in the winter so that the dry skin could be shed off. Try to include some deep fried food in your diet so that winter could not make your skin dry.
3. Cover yourself while going out:
This is very important. Cover your whole body right from your head to feet and fingers too. Why? The dry air of the winter makes your skin go dry in no time and in turn it may worse more if not moisturizerd properly within time. Hence, you should cover yourself properly. Get those gloves, socks and other clothing outside right away.
4. Drink hot:
This is a life saving. Once I have read how a group of scientists saved themselves in an Antarctica storm just by drinking hot tea and water for 2 days. So, how is this life saving?
Our bodies constantly generate heat as we know. When in winter we intake something hot tea or water our body does not have to generate heat then and absorbs the heat of the hot beverage we take. This in turn saves a lot of body energy to generate heat and this energy could instead be used somewhere else.
5. Use Petroleum gels:
Couple of years ago I used to laugh on people who use Petroleum gels. I always believed it doesn't work due to some personal experiences earlier but in last couple of years I have been using these kind of moisturizers and I should tell you that 'it works'. Try to apply moisturizers before going outside and also apply it before going to bed, it will make your skin smooth and better in the dry season.
6. Face the weather:
Yes, face the weather. It is one of the important aspects you have to do to stay fit. Because your body need to adapt with the outside rough weather so that it could become more strong. For this go social, meet someone outside like in a park or restaurant rather than on social media or messaging applications.
