Nick Kyrgions lose to World No. 1 Rafael Nadal in China Open Final
Rafael Nadal beats Nick Kyrgions in straight sets 6-2 & 6-1 to claim the China Open Final in Beijing. The 16 time grand slam champion was just untouchable to the Australian No. 1 and lose in two sets.
With winning the China Open Rafael Nadal has a very high chance of finishing the year as World No. 1 for the first time in last four years.
The match took 92 minutes to finish off. Nadal collected his 75th career title. Nadal beat G. Dimitrov in the Semi-finals 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 to book his place in the finals. While Nick Kyrgions defeated A. Zevrev 6-3, 7-5 to book his place in the finals.
Nick Kyrgions was furious at a point in the match as he had to replay a winning point in the game and had to go to the referee during the game but no recovery time was given by the World No. 1 to the Australian in the winning. Nothing much controversy. Australian Nick Kyrgions is looking to improve his ranking in the ATP as of currently is in 20th place and could move up to 15th place next month.
The Spanish Rafael Nadal is set to play his Round of 32 game vs USA's J. Donaldson on 10th of October 2017 in Shanghai Masters Open. With defending champion Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic out of the Shanghai Masters Open with injuries Rafael Nadal "The King of Clay" could finish the term on a high.
