How to remove your phone number from Truecaller?

Have you ever wanted to call someone and not wanted them to know who is calling but Truecaller is the spoiler here and sometimes you wished that Truecaller doesn't exist? Then yes, there is a way out of it. There are times when all we want is anonymity and hide yourself from some people. 

Truecaller is an awesome app that let you know who is calling you from an unknown number most of the times although it fails and gives wrong information sometimes but still it is something that could be reliable and could be trusted 80% of time. 

Until now people thought that there is no way out once you go into their database. For this question there are both the answers Yes and No. How? If your number is marked as spam then it is difficult to get out of the Truecaller but if you are a normal user then in 99% of the cases we are sure that you are not marked as spam and you could delete yourself from the Truecaller database. If you are marked as a spam user we request you to contact the Truecaller support team to get yourself out of their database but if you are not then follow the below steps to delete yourself from Truecaller. 

If you are a verified user (i.e. If you have installed Truecaller app ever in your life then you are a verified user) then you have to follow two steps to remove yourself from Truecaller app. If your have never used Truecaller app in your life and you want yourself to remove from Truecaller database then follow second step only. 

Time required: Less than 5 minutes 

Requirement: 

1. Truecaller app (First step) 

2. Web browser (Second step) 

Step One:

1. Open Truecaller app

2. Click on the three line button on the top of left corner 

3. Open Settings

4. Open About located at the below

5. Scroll down and you will see deactivate account button 

6. Click on the deactivate account button 

7. Done! 

Step Two:

1. Now open web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge recommend) 

2. Open the following address in your browser address http://www.truecaller.com/unlisting/

3. Enter your phone number with country code as shown in the screenshot 

4. Enter recaptcha code

5. Then click on Unlist Phone Number 

6. Congratulations! You have removed yourself from Truecaller database. 

After this process it takes around 24 hours to reflect the changes and now Truecaller will no longer show your details online.
