Make your Android phone battery last longer
We all own a phone and these days no matter how much the battery is big in terms of the amperes the top notch features drain the batteries as fast as we could imagine. Some of the smartphone has nearly an embarrassing on screen time. Want to change that? Yes, just check the below important tips and we guarantee that you will get almost 20%-30% more of the battery than earlier.
Workaround of the Android Batteries: How they work?
These days we all know that most of the smartphone have either a Lithium-ion battery or a Lithium-ion Polymer battery. Most of the batteries are Lithium-ion battery and batteries do not have any kind of the memory. That means if you charge them from 5% to 60% and then again from 35% to 80% they don't keep a count of it.
The problem with these devices is that they suffer from a low voltage problem which is a worrisome. All the experts claim that the smartphone battery should always stay from 20% to 90%. You should never fully discharge the battery or fully charge the battery. Battery has always been in the debate though and we must not really get into this right now because we want to get out of our android battery more.
Black Wallpaper can increase life of battery:
Yes, it is correct but there is a flaw in this. It only works on the AMOLED screen. 75% of the smartphone do not have it. Yes, you heard it right. Most of the Samsung and flagship devices only have the AMOLED display else we all own a LCD screen. In an AMOLED screen only illuminate the colored pixel black are unlit and so more blacker pixels you have the less power is needed to light up the screen.
You want a black wallpaper click here. Save the picture head to settings and choose the wallpaper.
Doze Mode:
This is something we all have been hearing from a last couple or triple years when the Marshmallow has been introduced. Doze mode has been around a while and it works when the smartphone screen is turned off. It has firstly been introduced into the Marshmallow update and it has been improved on the following Nougat update a lot.
How it works?
What Doze mode does is it shuts down the things when you are not using it. Unlike Lollipop when you have to manually switch off the particular app manually. In Doze mode when you do not use a particular thing like GPS, Wi-fi scanning and all syncing the Doze mode comes into the work and shuts the off to save the battery.
OK Google:
Ok. We all know the awesome assistant feature of Google's voice assistant app which is always listening to your voice to say you "OK Google". This seriously wreaks your battery especially if you don't use it. And we all know that most of the people never or hardly use this feature.
Now, go into Google Settings from the app opening the app from the app drawer and head to Voice heading. Onto the next page select OK Google detection. In this menu just untick all the boxes and it is done. It will believe me will give you around 4-5% of more battery.
App updates:
I have seen many people not updating their apps frequently. This is one of the reason why there may be some problem with the battery life with some devices. These are reasons why developers push the app updates frequently. Most of the time it's the memory, battery and bug fixes. Keeping apps updated you have the latest code running on the smartphone. Also try to avoid the apps that have not been updated in the near past it can sometimes chew more RAM and Battery than expected.
So never let you apps fall behind just open the Play Store, tap on the menu and open My Apps and Games and update your apps now.
Use Apps like Greenify:
Yes, It actually works. Greenify is nothing but the Doze Mode. If you are running Android Marshmallow 6.0 and above i don't recommend you to download this. But, if you run Android Lollipop 5.0 or earlier this is to your rescue.
Auto Brightness:
Do not use the thing. We all have a habit of using the auto brightness which is always way more brighter than we require. When we use auto brightness the light sensor always get to work constantly changing the brightness of the screen and this sucks up the battery more than anything in the smartphone. So always ensure that you always set the Brightness manually.
The Vibration:
Vibration is also a very big battery sucker. Turn off the haptic feedback vibration that is turned on when using the phone. You always look at you screen when you use it so you know where you are touching. Just head to settings and click on sound and vibration and untick all those boxes.
Also turn off the vibrate on touch which is present in the keyboard. This will save more battery.
Data, Wi-fi, Location, Bluetooth and NFC:
Bring the slider and look if Data, Wi-fi and location services are turned on. You don't need Data and wi-fi to be on at the same time. When you are out of wi-fi coverage then you can switch off wi-fi and turn on data and vice versa. Location service is the one which is on most of the times and it needs to be off when you are not really using it.
Similar goes on with the Bluetooth and NFC. Turn them off as soon as you have used them.
And lastly you don't have to be connected 24*7. Turn off all the thing when you really don't need them. Identify the time and switch these things to get more out of your battery.
Widgets:
Ditch those widgets especially you hardly use them. Apps like Twitter, Whatsapp, Reddit, Weather, Gmail, and alike don't need to have widgets unless you always look at them and use them constantly. Deleting these widgets is surely a favor on the battery and memory of the phone. So just trash the useless widgets now.
Auto-sync:
This is one of the biggest culprits for the battery woes on the Android. I don't think you all need to sync those Google accounts every 15 minutes or less. So just don't fall for the Auto-sync trap and switch it off. (Note- Switching it off may also stop notifications from Gmail, Twitter and similar apps). To switch it off go to Settings-> Accounts and click on the three dots and uncheck the Auto-sync option and you are done. This will surely save you a lot of battery.
Battery Saving:
Last but not least if things go out of hand and even after trying all the above options all the OS's have these options. Go to Setting, Battery and switch on the battery saving now. This will surely stop all the background processes, auto sync, notifications (mostly) and animations and will give you extra battery.
Last Option:
Even if you still have the battery problems then head to the Phone OEM store and get the battery checked and replace it if you have problems.
If anything is missed please do tell in the comments below we will surely add them.
